Hello, dear readers, and welcome!
October has officially begun (can you believe it?), and I'm trying to fall into the Autumn spirit. It kind of crept up on me this year, but I'm very excited. The Holidays are always a celebration for me, and Halloween is my second favorite Holiday (just behind Christmas).
October is the month for InkTober, and this year I'm determined to see InkTober all the way through! In years past, I've managed only a few weeks of my goal, but this year I'm really going for it. October is usually a busy month with parties and releases, but I'm going to do my best to stick with my personal InkTober goal.
For those of you who might not have heard of InkTober, let me fill you in. Every October, artists the world round participate, and create one ink drawing per day to share online, to further hone their artistic skills. InkTober was created by Jake Parker in 2009, and has been a fun event since. You can read more about it here on the official site.
The typical goal for InkTober is to do one ink drawing per day, but my personal goal is one per week, though I will try to top that. Like I said, October is typically a busy month, but I've been aching to get out my ink pens, and I love drawing. I'll be posting the drawings on my Twitter, and here on my site on Thursday each week. Search the hashtag #InkTober2016 to see other awesome artists amazing drawings! It should be fun!
(On a side note: I can't guarantee that I'll get the post up this Thursday. Hurricane Matthew is set to hit Florida, where I live, and I have no idea what might happen as a result. Please keep us, and everyone else in the targeted path, and those who are already being effected, in your thoughts and prayers. If I get a drawing done before Thursday, I will probably post then -- and if not, next week!)
Welcome to my blog! Here you will find writing tips, inspiration, and more. I post whenever the fancy strikes.
